Liverpool winger Lazar Markovic has picked up another injury which resulted in him being dropped from the Serbian national team.

Markovic pulled his hamstring in training just days after returning from the sidelines in the Turkish Cup final between Fenerbahce and Galatasaray.

The 21-year-old joined Fenerbahce on-loan last summer but struggled for playing time due to recurring injuries.

Markovic missed a total of 29 matches due to injury injury this season but did manage to make it back for the Turkish Cup final against Galatasaray which Fenerbahce lost 1-0.

In total Markoviv missed 140 days due to injuries this season but did play regularly for the Istanbul giants when he was fit.

Markovic was picked for the Serbian Euro 2016 squad squad but has had to pull out as a result of his latest injury.

Reds boss Jurgen Klopp has told Markovic that he has a chance to prove himself over pre-season and could end up being kept on next season but Fenerbahce are keen on bringing him back on loan.
