UEFA have revealed that Liverpool winger Lazar Markovic has been suspended for four-games following his red card against Basel in the Champions League group stages.

Markovic was sent off for hitting Basel’s Behrang Safari in the far with an outstretched arm.

The UEFA disciplinary list also shows that Alberto Moreno is one card away from sitting out a match.

Mario Balotelli, Steven Gerrard, Dejan Lovren, Lucas Leiva, Martin Skrtel, and Raheem Sterling would face suspension in the Europa League quarter-finals if they receive two more yellow cards over the Round of 32.

Liverpool host Beşiktaş at Anfield in the Europa League Round of 32 first-leg on Thursday 19 February.

The Reds last won the Europa League under its former name the UEFA Cup in 2000/01.

Liverpool qualified for the Europa League following their third place finish in the Champions League group stages.

The Europa League winner will be awarded an automatic Champions League place this season.
