Liverpool youngster happy with pre-season performances

Liverpool youngster Samed Yeşil has said that his he happy with his performances during the pre-season.

The 21-year-old also is glad to be injury free after spending a significant portion of last season in the treatment room. Yeşil missed most of last season with a double cruciate ligament injury but did make a full recovery towards the end of the league campaign.

Yeşil posted an image of himself on Instagram along with the caption, “Good to play 2 games in 2 days, also happy to score a Goal but most importantly to be injury free.”

Yeşil featured in the Reds 2-0 defeat against Porto yesterday. The 21-year-old has scored four goals since returning for pre-season training.

The Germany U19 international  joined Liverpool for €1 million back in August 2012 from the Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen.

Yeşil has provided three assists and scored six goals for Liverpool u21’s since joining. The 21-year-old has two senior appearances for the Reds.
