Liverpool youngster Samed Yesil features in Luzern draw

Liverpool youngster Samed Yeşil featured in Luzern’s 1-1 draw with Vaduz in the Swiss Super League over the weekend.

The 21-year-old played 76 minutes of the game and failed to find the back of the net. Yeşil was replaced by Hyka late in the second half.

Yeşil joined Liverpool from the Bundesliga side Bayern Leverkusen 2012 for £1 million. The Liverpool Echo states that the Merseyside club have decided to send the 21-year-old out to aid his development.

The young striker has featured for all of Germany’s youth teams from Under-16 to U19 and he is available also to play for the Turkish national team.

The former Bayer Leverkusen man scored three goals in his last two appearances for Liverpool U21’s during pre-season.

Luzern sit in forth place in the league with 20 points in 13 games. Marcus Bable’s side take on St. Gallen next weekend.
