Samed Yesil has taken to Instagram to post a photo of his friend and former teammate Nuri Sahin.
Sahin joined Liverpool on a season long loan on August 2012 from Real Madrid. However, despite providing three assists and scoring three goals in 12 appearances the Turkish international’s loan was terminated early after falling out with manager Brendan Rodgers.
Samed Yesil who joined Liverpool at the same time as Sahin, posted a picture alongside his former teammate on the social media platform.
The young striker has recently stated that he is looking forward to the upcoming season.
The former Bayer Leverkusen man scored three goals in his last two appearances for Liverpool U21’s during pre-season and could break into the first team this season.
Şahin made his debut for Borussia Dortmund aged just 16, becoming the youngest player to appear in the Bundesliga.
The 25-year-old was selected as the best performing central midfielder in Europe since the turn of the year.
Şahin scored 100 in the CIES Football Observatory’s latest performance rankings.
