Derdiyok joined Kasımpaşa from Bayer Leverkusen last season but missed most of the season due to a cruciate ligament injury.
The Swiss international has recovered and is expected to make a full return to match fitness in time for the 2015-16 league campaign.
Despite being a Swiss international striker Derdiyok is also a Turkish citizen through his family.
Derdiyok plays under a domestic status in Turkey due to being a dual citizen.
Can also left Bayer last summer but joined Liverpool on a €9.75 million move and has established himself as a first team player.
The third member of Can’s Instagram picture is Turkish international and former Bayer teammate Ömer Toprak.
Toprak was born in Germany and like Can is also of Turkish origin.
