Barcelona boss Luis Enrique revealed that he has been impressed with Arda Turan and that the Turkish international is happy at the club.

“Arda? I think he’s enjoying playing at Barca a lot. He’s doing great and he looks very happy,” Enrique told reporters in his pre-match press conference ahead of the Athletic Bilbao clash.

Turan featured in all six games since making his debut in the 4-1 victory over rivals Espanyol in the Spanish Cup earlier in the month.

Barcelona had won all six games since Turan made his first appearance scoring 20 goals in the process and conceding just three times.

Turan has also provided two assists but he did miss his first game yesterday in the Spanish Cup quarter-final second leg tie against Athletic Bilbao after coming down with the flu.

The bearded winger is expected to recover in time for the weekend La Liga game against Atletico Madrid on Saturday 30 January at the Camp Nou.

Barcelona are currently fist in the league on goal difference ahead of Atleti – Turan’s former team.
