Luis Enrique reveals Arda Turan has a lot more to offer Barcelona

Barcelona team news

Barcelona boss Luis Enrique has revealed that he was pleased with Arda Turan’s first La Liga performance for his new club but underlined that he still has a lot more to offer.

“We’ve still not seen him getting forward a lot, he’s a player that drives forward, sets up goals… he is a player that’s going to add a lot of different things,” Enrique was quoted as saying by Sport.

“He has to adapt to the way Barça player. He will need time, but I am happy.”

Turan made his debut against Espanyol in the Spanish Cup last Wednesday and then played his first La Liga game against Granada on the weekend.

Barcelona won both games scoring eight goals in the process and Turan provided an assist against Granada setting up Lionel Messi with the opening goal.

The Barcelona number seven setup Messi with his seventh league goal on seven minutes in the convincing victory over the relegation strugglers.

Turan has started in Barcelona’s last two games and is expected to feature in the reigning La Liga champions in the Spanish Cup Last 16 second-leg game against Espanyol on Wednesday.
