Luiz Rhodolfo completes switch from Gremio to Besiktas

Besiktas have released a statement to the Istanbul stock exchange confirming the transfer of Luiz Rhodolfo from Gremio.

The Black Eagles released a statement to the Istanbul stock exchange revealing the financial details of the transfer.

The Istanbul based club paid a €3.3 million transfer fee for the 29-year-old centre back.

Rhodolfo has signed a three year contract with Besiktas and will receive €1.4 million per season in wages. The experienced defender will also receive a €10,000 appearance bonus.

The former Sao Paulo defender’s contract will be extended by a year if he plays over 35 games in the 2-17-18 season.

Rhodolfo has made ten appearances for Gremio in the Brazilian Serie A this season. The 28-year-old is expected to arrive in Istanbul tomorrow at 21:45 (local time).

The powerful defender has previously played for São Paulo, Atlético-PR and Paranaense.

The Istanbul giants recently completed the transfer of Porto winger Ricardo Quaresma, Andreas Beck and Dusko Tosic.
