Luke Shaw failed to make single tackle for Man Utd against Fenerbahce

Jeremain Lens

Manchester United lost their five consecutive away game in European competition following the 2-1 defeat against Fenerbahce at the Sukru Saracoglu stadium.

The United team put on a poor display in general but Luke Shaw in particular had a game he would probably like to forget about.

On-loan Sunderland winger Jeremain Lens completed six successful dribbles down his flank and tormented the full-back throughout the game.

Lens ended up scoring the second goal and could easily have got an assist had Emmanuel Emenike got on the end of his cross in the last 10 minutes.

Shaw meanwhile failed to make a single tackle over the course of the 90 minutes according to Whoscored.

Out of the entire outfield United team that started the game only Marcus Rashford also failed to make a tackle however, unlike Shaw he wasn’t playing in defence.

United fell into third place in the Europa League Group A following the defeat and take on second placed Feyenoord next at Old Trafford.
