Malaga Sporting Director Mario Husillos has stated that his club must do all it can to sign Nordin Amrabat.

Husillos spoke with local reporters regarding January transfer activity.

“We are doing everything we can to sign Amrabat,” Husillos stated.

“If we let him [Amrabat] slip out of our hands we will regret it.

“We currently do not have the funds to Amrabat but we need to find a source.

“Using our investment funds to raise money for this transfer may be an option.”

The La Liga side have a €3.5 million buy-out clause agreed with Galatasaray for Amrabat and have until the end of May to activate it.

The Morroccan international has been in impressive form at Malaga and has three assists and three goals in his last five league games.

Amrabat was recently named in Marca’s October La Liga Team of the Month.

The 27-year-old winger is currently out with a muscle tear injury he picked up while on international duty.
