Man City defender open to Besiktas move

Manchester City full-back Alexander Kolarov is open to a Besiktas move according to the Milliyet newspaper.

The report claims that Besiktas defender Dusko Tosic has been acting as an intermediary trying to convince his Serbian international compatriot to consider joining the Istanbul giants.

The future of Kolarov is in doubt following the arrival of Pep Guardiola as head coach and it remains to be seen if he has a future at the club next season.

Despite wining the league title last season Besiktas conceded more goals than any other side in the top three – while scoring the highest number of goals in the league.

Besiktas are keen on bolstering their defensive line having booked a place in the Champions League group stages next season.

The Serbian international still has another two years remaining on his contract but Besiktas will be hoping for a cut price deal if Guardiola decided he has no plans for Kolarov next season.
