Manchester City will face Romanian giants Steaua Bucuresti in the Champions League play-off round.
The Champions League draw took place today at the UEFA headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland.
The first leg will be played on either the 16-17 August and the return leg either 23-24 August 2016.
Summer singing Ilkay Gundogan is unlikely to feature against Steaua due to injury. The Germany international of Turkish origin is not expected back until the first few weeks into the start of the league campaign.
