Man City slap €8m price tag on star full-back

Besiktas suffered a blow in the hunt to sign Manchester City’s star left-back Aleksandar Kolarov after the Premier League giants set a €8 million price tag on him.

A source close to Besiktas told Turkish-Football.com that the 30-year-old left back is only available at the right price.

According to CNN Turk, the Citizen’s are demanding €8 million, a fee Besiktas are unwilling to match. The Black Eagles had initially planned to loan Kolarov but City are keen on a permanent transfer if the experienced full-back is to leave.

Kolarov provided five assists and scored three goals in 39 appearances in all competitions for Manchester City lasts season.

The 30-year-old’s place in Man City’s squad has been cast in doubt following reports in the Daily Mail linking the Premier League club with a move for Wolfsburg’s full-back Ricardo Rodriguez.

Kolarov would become the Black Eagles second defensive singing of the season along with Chelsea loanee Kenneth Omero if the deal goes ahead.
