There were rumours that Turan could move to England at the end of the season following comments made by his agent Ahmet Bulut.

“Arda will be 28 by the end of the season and could be transferred to another club, if this were to happen it would be to one of Europe’s top eight sides, otherwise he wouldn’t consider moving as Atleti are already one of the best teams on the continent,” Bulut told Fanatik.

The Turkish international has become a vital part of Diego Simeone’s Atletico Madrid side.

Turan featured in the Rojiblancos 4-0 win over Real Madrid in the Madrid derby on the weekend.

The 28-year-old has a contract with Atleti until 2017 and a €40 million release clause.

Turan became the first Turkish born player to win the La Liga as Atleti won their first league title since 1996 last season.
The Turkish international has lifted the La Liga, Copa Del Rey, Europa League, European Super Cup and reached the Champions League at Atleti.
