Manchester United and Arsenal target Ilkay Gundogan has played down talk of a move to the Premier League in the near future.

The 24-year-old was closely linked with a move to Arsenal and Manchester United at the start of the summer by the Daily Mail.

However, Gundogan has said that he may opt to extend his contact with Dortmund once again despite signing a on-year extension on his deal at the beginning of the month.

“I am heading into my fifth year at Dortmund and I am feeling very well here,” Gundogan was quoted as saying by Sport Bild.

“I can see myself staying at BVB for a longer period. We will have to wait and see how things develop.”

The 24-year-old previously turned down a contract offer from Dortmund but changed his mind regarding his future following discussions with their newly appointed manager Thomas Tuchel.

Gündoğan – whose contract expires in June 2017 – wrapped up the season with five assists and three goals in 33 appearances in all competitions.

Dortmund finished the season in seventh place last season with 46 points in 34 games.
