Man Utd keeper Victor Valdes in talks with Antalyaspor hints president

Antalyaspor president Güntekin Gencer has hinted that his club are in talks with Manchester United goalkeeper Victor Valdes.

Eurosport TR claim Gencer was referring to Valdes when he made the following comment.

“We are in talks with a player who like Samuel Eto’o and Ronaldinho previously played for Barcelona, a deal is close,” Gencer said.

The Scorpions were promoted to top-tier football at the end of last season but have embarked on signing an ambitious transfer policy.

Antalyapsor have already completed the transfer of Samuel Eto’o and have reached an agreement with former Barcelona and Brazil national team star Ronaldinho.

Eto’o completed his signing ceremony earlier in the week after joining from Sampdoria.

Valdez left Barcelona at the end of the 2013-14 season to join United in January 2015.

The 33-year-old keeper has made a total of Premier League appearances for the Red Devils.

Valdez has won almost everything there is to win in club and international football including the La Liga, Champions League, World Cup and European Championship.
