Man Utd keeper Victor Valdes wants Antalyaspor move says club president

Manchester United goalkeeper Victor Valdes wants to join Antalyaspor according to club president Gültekin Gencer.

“Valdes has made it perfectly clear to us that he wants to join Antalyaspor,” Gencer was quoted as saying by the Miliyet.

The latest developments follow the Scorpions press officer Hasan Ali Ceylan confirming talks with the former Barcelona man.

“We are in talks with Victor Valdes. Once an agreement is reached  we will be able to sign yet another world star to Antalyaspor.” Ceylan told Eurospor TR.

Valdes would become the third former Barcelona man to join Antalyaspor should he complete his move to the Mediterranean coast.

Antalyaspor were only promoted to top-tier football at the end of last season but have embarked on signing an ambitious transfer policy signing the likes of Samuel Eto’o and Ronaldinho.

The Scorpions have already demonstrated that they have the financial muscle to complete such a deal but will need to convince Valdes about their ambition to become a force in Turkish and European football.

Valdez left Barcelona at the end of the 2013-14 season to join United in January 2015 but only made a total of two Premier League appearances for the Red Devils.
