Man Utd legend congratulates Nani following Euro 2016 triumph

Manchester United legend Sir Alex Ferguson was present at the Euro 2016 final between Portugal and France at the Stade de France yesterday.

The former United boss congratulated his former players Luis Nani and Cristiano Ronaldo following their trophy ceremony.

Portugal beat France 1-0 with second half substitute Eder scoring the only goal of the game in extra time.

Nani and Ronaldo both hugged their former mentor Ferguson who they enjoyed great success with early on in their career.

Ronaldo won three back-to-back Premier League titles and the Champions League under Ferguson while Nani won four league trophies and the Champions League as well.

Nani was a Fenerbahce player going into Euro 2016 but will join Valencia on an €8.5 million move over the next three days.

In total there were three Super Lig players from last season in the Portugal Euro 2016 winning squad – Bruno Alves and Nani who play for Fenerbahce and Besiktas star Ricardo Quaresma.
