£20m Man Utd star hints he may stay, Turkish giants remain on alert

Manchester United attacking midfielder Juan Mata has hinted that he may have a future at the club despite rumours linking him with an exit.

Mata was asked by a fan if there was any truth to him leaving the club over the summer.

The Spanish international midfielder replied: “Don’t believe everything that social media and the media says,” and when asked directly if he will stay, he laughed.

There is confusion over whether Mata will remain at United over the summer. Eurosport report that he is heading for an exit while the Daily Star meanwhile claim that United boss Jose Mourinho will hold final talks with Mata regarding his future at the club.

The Express are reporting that the United value Mata as being worth £20 million for the Spanish and Everton are the bookmakers favourites to transfer the 28-year-old.

Mata has also attracted interested from Turkish giants Fenerbahce who are interested in replacing attacking midfielder Diego Ribas, Lazar Markovic and Luis Nani.
