Netherlands international stars Robin van Persie and Memphis Depay had a training ground bust up according to head coach Daley Bline.

The Dutch boss was quoted as saying by the Guardian:

“We have discussed what happened, but that had nothing to do with my decision. It was a discussion during a training about a ball that should have been given over. Things like that happen often. There are sometimes situations in training where players think differently. That’s what happened and then it was over.

“I felt that he was not fit enough to start. I think that’s down to the fact that he has not played without pain for quite a while.”

Van Persie has also been left out of the Fenerbahce starting line-up over recent weeks and expressed his frustrations regarding the situation with manager Vitor Pereira.

There have also been rumours that the experienced striker could quit the national team after the Euro 2016 Group A qualification campaign.

The Dutch need Turkey to lose in their final game while beating Czech Republic in their last game.

The Netherlands are currently fourth in the group two points behind third-placed Turkey with just one match remaining.

Turkey are currently in third palce and need just one point against group leaders Iceland to book a place in the play-off round.

Blind may decide to rest Van Persie again going into their final game but Depay is expected to start.
