Man Utd target Ilkay Gundogan hints at Liverpool move

The Germany international midfielder Ilkay Gündoğan has excited Liverpool fans following comments made in a report with the tabloid newspaper Bild.

Gündoğan has been linked with Liverpool since the appointment of his former manager Jurgen Klopp last month.

The Dortmund midfielder would not be drawn over speculation linking him with a move to Anfield to join Klopp, except to say “They have a good team, a great coach.”

The Bundesliga side rejected an approach from Manchester United earlier on in the season according to the German newspaper Express.

The report states that Juventus also want to negotiate a €20 million deal while Dortmund are holding out for €25 million.

Dortmund sit in second place in the Bundesliga with 29 points in 13 games. Gündoğan has provided five assists and scored two goals in 23 appearances for Dortmund this season.
