Man Utd target may return to Fiorentina at end of season says Fikret Orman

Beşiktaş president Fikret Orman has revealed that there is a possibility that Mario Gomez could return to Fiorentina at the end of the season.

Roman stated that Beşiktaş have a two-year loan deal agreement with Gomez and that they are the only club that can sign the Germany international.

“We loaned Gomez for two seasons and he has a clause in his contract that means we can sign him on a permanent deal but if we or he decide not to go ahead he will return to Fiorentina,” Orman was quoted as saying by Fanatik.

Gomez will however, return to Fiorentina if an agreement is not reached which makes the task of signing the experienced striker all the more tricky for other clubs.

The Germany international has hit the ground running at Beşiktaş scoring nine times already this season and has attracted interest from Manchester United according to the Telegraph.

United boss Van Gaal heaped praise on the experienced striker during a recent press conference.

“I was manager of Bayern, and there the striker was Mario Gomez, and he touched the ball nine times as an average in a game,” Van Gaal was quoted as saying by the Guardian.
