To free-kick aficionados it will not come as much of a surprise that the 21-year-old is rated as the best set-piece take in the world according to the popular football video game FIFA 16.
Spanish giants Real Madrid recently had a €35 million bid for the Turkish international turned down according to the German Express newspaper.
The 21-year-old joined Bayer from HSV on a €15 million transfer last season and was selected as the sixth most valuable U-21 players in the world list by Soccerex.
Bayern Munich boss Pep Guardiola was recently full of praise for the young playmaker describing his as being the best free-kick take in the Bundesliga.
Fellow Germany born Turkish international Mehmet Ekici who plays for Trabzonspor was also included in the top 10 list.
There was two Turkish international players in the Top 10 – the highest number of players in the list from one country.
