Besiktas striker Mario Gomez has stated that his future in Istanbul depends on how his side end the season.

The Germany international has been in impressive form for the Black Eagles and has spearheaded them to the top of the table.

“It all depends on how the season ends and we cannot say for sure where in the table we will end up,” Gomez was quoted as saying by LigTV.

“Beşiktaş’ın gelecek sezona nasıl ve nerede başlayacağı, sanırım sezon sonuna kadar belli olmayacak. Bunlar benim için önemli. Bu nedenle, geleceğim hakkında daha sonra karar vereceğim.”

Gomez has been linked with a number of clubs across Europe with Manchester United reportedly to be keen on adding him to their ranks over the summer according to Telegraph and FoxSport.

The former Bayern Munich striker joined the Black Eagles on a two-year loan from Fiorentina over the summer and has hit the ground running at his new club.

Gomez also earned himself a recall to the Germany national team and scored his first international goal since 2012 against England in a friendly last month.
