Manchester United take on cross-city rivals Manchester City in the EFL Cup on Wednesday evening at Old Trafford.

This will be the second time United host City at Old Trafford this season with the first encounter ending in a 2-1 victory to the Citizens.

City boss Pep Guardiola has shuffled his pack going into the derby making nine changes from the side that drew to Southampton in the Premier League.

The visitors will play six games over the next 18 days so Guardiola has decided to rest the likes of Ilkay Gundogan and Serio Aguero.

The Germany international of Turkish origin will be on the bench as will Aguero meanwhile Zabaleta, Kevin de Bruyne and Bacary Sagna are all out due to injury.

United are missing Bailly and Fellaini due to injury and team captain Wayne Rooney has been dropped.

Jose Mourinho also decided against welcoming back Henrikh Mkhitaryan who recovered from injury.
