Major League Soccer (MLS) side New York City are reportedly preparing a €20 million offer for Galatasaray’s Wesley Sneijder.

According to reports in the English media, Sneijder’s agent Guido Albers has met Manchester City football administrator Brian Marwood and Claudio Reyna, the director of football for the Blues’ satellite club New York City.

New York City are owned by the City Football Group who also own Manchester City.

Galatasaray have stated that they intend to keep Sneijder at the club but may be find an offer in the region of €20 million difficult to reject in their current financial state.

Southampton and Manchester United are also reported to be keeping tabs on the Netherlands international.

Sneijder joined Galatasaray from Inter in 2013 for €8 million and still has just under two-years left on his contract.
