Manchester United have delayed pulling the trigger on signing Borussia Dortmund mifielder Ilkay Gündoğan due to his past injury record.

The 24-year-old spent the entirety of last season on the sidelines with a back injury but has made 30 appearances for Dortmund this term.

According to SportBild, Manchester United still have worries regarding Gündoğan’s fitness. The report goes onto say that Bayern Munich and Manchester City are also concerned about the German internationals injury record.

Gündoğan, who has been linked with a €30 million move to Manchester United from Borussia Dortmund by the Metro, played a staring role in his sides 2-0 victory over Hertha Berlin last week.
