Manchester United most valuable brand in the world, Galatasaray most valuable in Turkey

The ‘Best Global Brands‘ report has found there to be two Turkish clubs in the top 50 football brands in the world.

Galatasaray came in at 19 with a brand value of $219 million while Fenerbahçe were ranked in 33rd place moving up two places from last season with a value of $120 million.

The Lions have won three out of the last four league titles in Turkey have and competed in the Champions League group stages for the last four consecutive seasons.

Fenerbahçe were rocked by the 2011 match-fixing scandal and were banned from Europe during the trial process however, the Yellow Canaries were recently cleared of all involvement and will be seeking compensation from the Turkish Football Federation.

The most valuable brand in the world is Manchester United worth an astonishing $1,206 million in total. There are a total of six Premier League sides in the top 10 – Chelsea, Manchester City, Arsenal, Tottenham and Liverpool.

Bayern Munich are the second biggest brand worth $933 million while Real Madrid are third worth $873 million.
