Manchester United right back 'wants to play for Galatasaray'

Manchester United’s Rafael da Silva is keen on a move to Galatasaray according to his agent Cassiano Pereira.

Pereira spoke with Ersin Duzen on TRT Spor’s ‘Futbol Gunlugu’ program yesterday evening.

“Rafael wants to play at Galatasaray,” Pereira told Ersin Duzen.

“It would be great if he plays in a Galatasaray jersey this season.”

Rafael’s agent also recently confirmed that his client would be on the move this summer, “His contract expires in June 2016 and the coach, Van Gaal, said he isn’t counting on him, so the player wants to leave and we are talking with more than one club about this,” Pereira told Italian website Tuttomercatoweb.

Last week Turkish-football.com confirmed that Galatasaray were in talks with the Brazil international.

The 25-year-old right back has been placed on the transfer-list by United following the acquisition of the Italy international Matteo Darmian.

Rafael provided one assist and scored on goal in 17 appearances for Manchester United last season.

Galatasaray won the league title for a record 20th time last season and booked a place in next seasons Champions League group stages.
