Manchester United to face competition from Valencia for Portugal international star

Manchester United are set to face further competition to transfer the Portugal international winger Luis Nani.

The Spanish newspaper AS state that Valencia have also joined the race to sign the 29-year-old.

The report goes onto state that Valencia’s sporting director García Pitarch has held talks with Nani and that the La Liga giants have offered Fenerbahce a €3.5 million transfer fee.

Nani joined Fenerbahce on a three-year deal from United last season scoring 12 goals and providing 13 assists in his debut league campaign.

United meanwhile are reported to have already agreed personal terms with Nani according to Turkish media outlet DHA.

Nani is currently the only player to have scored for Portugal in Euro 2016 but has revealed he will not make a decision on his future until after the tournament.

The 29-year-old recently stated that he would consider a return to the Premier League and there are reports of a rift between him and the Fenerbahce manager Vitor Pereira.
