Manchester United v Liverpool Expected Starting Line-Ups: Emre Can set to start

Manchester United take on rivals Liverpool at Old Trafford in the Premier League on Saturday 12 September.

Brendan Rodgers faces a crisis in midfield with captain Jordan Henderson and Adam Lallana out injured while Coutinho is out suspended.

Emre Can who made his international debut for Germany last week against Poland and then started in the following match against Scotland is likely to start in central midfield.

Manchester United boss Van Gaal may decide to bring De Gea back into the role after agreeing to extend his contract with the Red Devils.

United will be without Michael Carrick which could result in both Schneiderlin and Schweinsteiger starting.

The Red Devils are currently 5th on seven points after four games while Liverpool – also on seven points – are 7th on goal difference.
