Man Utd v Man City: Probable Line-ups – Gundogan expected to start

The second Manchester derby pits two of the most highly rated managers in the world of football against each other yet again.

Manchester United welcome cross-city rivals Manchester City to Old Trafford in the EFL Cup on Wednesday evening. Neither side are in particularly great form. Guardiola’s side are without a win in their last five games and the Red Devils are coming off the back of a 4-0 defeat against Chelsea.

United will be without Bailly and Fellaini who are both out injured. There are doubts over whether team captain Wayne Rooney will feature either after missing the Chelsea game with a thigh injury.

Mourinho could however, welcome back Henrikh Mkhitaryan who has recovered from injury.

Guardiola is expected to make several changes to his usual starting line-up as his side will play six games in 18 days.

Caballero is expected to start in goal but City will be without Zabaleta, Kevin de Bruyne and Bacary Sagna due to injury.

Germany international of Turkish origin Ilkay Gundogan is expected to keep his place in the team going into the derby against United.
