Manchester United’s star striker Robin Van Persie has expressed an interest in a move to Istanbul according to Eurosport TR.

The report stats that Van Persie has established contact with his international teammates Dirk Kuyt and Wesley Sneijder upon hearing about Fenerbahce’s interest.

Van Persie has had a poor season at Manchester United this term, managing to score just ten goals in the Premier League. The 31-year-old’s contract with Manchester United runs out in July 2016 and is unlikely to be offered a new contract.

Van Persie has three assists and ten goals in 26 appearances for Manchester United this season.

United are currently forth in the Premier League with 59 points in 30 games and take on Aston Villa next weekend.

Fenerbahce find themselves in third place in the Super Lig with 53 points in 25 games. The Yellow Canaries travel to Rize to take on Caykur Rizespor in the next round of games.
