Fenerbahçe on-loan winger Lazar Markovic has revealed that he still wants to return to the Premier League and prove himself at Liverpool.

Markovic was quoted by the Milliyet as saying: “I am going to return to the Premier League next season I want to prove myself in England and the world.”

The 21-year-old also stated that he wants to stay as a Reds player for many years to come.

“My aim is to become a success at Liverpool for many years to come,” he added.

Markovic provided an assist in his first start for the Istanbul giants playing as a winger against Bursaspor last weekend.

Fenerbahçe went onto win the game 2-1 to move three points clear at the top of the Turkish Super League table.

The Yellow Canaries are reported to be considering making an offer to bring Markovic in on a permanent move.

The Serbian international struggled to settle in at Liverpool last season following a £17.5 million transfer from Benfica. Markovic scored three times and provided just a single assist in 34 appearances for the Reds.

Fenerbahçe take on Beşiktaş next in the first Istanbul derby of the 2015-16 campaign.
