The German giants loaned him out to 1 FC. Nuremberg in 2010 a one year agreement and he was signed by Werder Bremen the following season.
Ekici joined Trabzonspor for £1.3 million this summer on a four-year deal and established himself as a key player in Ersun Yanal’s side.
The Trabzonspor star scored provided the joint highest number of assists alongside Hakan Çalhanoğlu (11) for Turkish international players this season.
