Voetbal Primeur  (via Goal).

Voetbal Primeur state that an incident during a training game before Netherlands’ 2-1 win over Kazakhstan caused a rift between the two players.

Van Persie was subsequently left out of the starting line-up which faced Kazakhstan. The Netherlands ended up missing out on Euro 2016.

The Dutch star has six goals and on assist in all competitions for the Yellow Canaries this season.

Fenerbahce currently find themselves in second place in the Turkish Super Lig with 34 points in 15 games. The Istanbul Giants take on Gençlerbirliği this weekend in the league.
