Mesut Özil was all smiles in his latest Instagram picture ahead of the Arsenal v Chelsea Community Shield clash at Wembley.
Özil revealed that he is currently in the ‘calm before the storm’ going into the match that will be played on Sunday 2 August.
The World Cup winner attached the following caption to his picture: “The calm before the storm. Last @arsenal training ahead of the big clash on Sunday against Chelsea FC. #CommunityShield #YaGunnersYa.”
Özil has already won three trophies this summer including the FA Cup, Barclays Asia Trophy and the Emirates Cup.
The 26-year-old has yet to win the Community Shield. The game is played annually before the start of the league campaign between the Premier League champions and the FA Cup holders.
The Gunners have won the FA Cup for two seasons running now and Özil featured in both cup runs.
The Arsenal playmaker enjoyed his first pre-season with the club since joining on a record £42.5 million transfer from Real Madrid in 2013.
