Arsenal’s Mesut Özil has taken to Twitter to celebrate Arsenal’s 2-1 victory in the FA Cup.
Özil starred in the win against United, completing more passes than any of his teammates.
The World Cup winner made 44 passes at an 82 percent accuracy according to Whoscored.
Özil expressed his delight at his side booking their place in the FA Cup semi finals by tweeting, “Wembley, here we go again.” The former Real Madrid man also posted the same caption on Instagram along with a picture of himself celebrating after the game.
The 26-year-old has been criticised for his work rate recently but he made three successful tackles against United and has covered more distance than any other Arsenal player since returning from his injury.
Özil has also provided the most assists in the Premier League since returning from injury.
The Arsenal star also featured in Arsenal’s FA Cup run last season. The Gunners won the 2014 FA Cup after beating Hull City 3-2 in the final.
The North London based club will face either Aston Villa, Liverpool or Blackburn in the final.
