Mesut Ozil put in a disappointing display during Arsenal’s 2-0 defeat at the hands of Barcelona.

Barcelona extended their unbeaten run to a record 33 games following their victory over the Gunners in the Champions League Last 16 first-leg at the Emirates.

Ozil received a rating of 6.26 from WhoScored for his performance on the night.

The 27-year-old made two key passes, one accurate cross and maintained a passing accuracy of 78%. Ozil’s only defensive contribution was one tackle.

Arsenal managed to keep Barcelona at bay for most of the game and could have even scored themselves however Messi, Neymar and Suarez combined to deadly effect to open to scoring on 71 minutes.

Things went from bad to worse just 11 minutes later. Flamini brought down Messi inside the box just 40 seconds after being brought on and the Argentinian magician did not miss from the spot.

The La Liga champions were without Turkish international Arda Turan due to suspension but we will be available for the return leg at the Camp Nou.
