Arsenal star Mesut Özil believes Arsenal can win the Premier League title this season.
“We have a great team with many world-class players,” he told Germany newspaper BILD.
“Our goal is to win the Premier League and I think that this season it’s possible to do it, if we all stay healthy. But the season is long.”
The Gunners are currently in second place just two points behind league leaders Manchester City.
The North London based club are coming off the back of a 3-0 win over another title contender Manchester United.
Özil scored his first goal of the season against the Reds Devils and also provided Alexis Sanchez with an assist for the opening goal.
The Gunners have not won the league title since 2003-04 but have won a trophy every year Özil has been at the club.
The World Cup winner joined the North London based club on a record £42.5 million transfer fee back in 2013 from Real Madrid and has won back-to-back FA Cup trophies since his arrival.
Özil has also lifted the Community Shield trophy after the Gunners beat reigning Premier League champions Chelsea before the start of the league campaign.
