Arsenal star Mesut Özil is finally starting to deliver according to Sky Sports pundit Thierry Henry.

The Gunners legend underlined that Özil has developed his game and that he has started to showcase his sills on a more consistent basis.

“He is finally delivering this season you can see he is awareness, he has class but he wasn’t doing it on an early basis but now he is doing it his crosses, his passes behind the back four, his through passes,” Henry said speaking ahead of the 1-1 draw against Tottenham in the North London derby.

Özil had been heavily criticised ever since joining Arsenal on a record breaking £42.5 million deal from Real Madrid for his languid style and being perceived to not work hard enough however, he has managed to turn around his fortunes lately.

The 27-year-old playmaker setup Kieran Gibbs with the equaliser in the draw against Spurs to record his 10th assist in 11 Premier League games this season.

The World Cup winner is the first player to provide an assist in six consecutive league games. The 27-year-old has set up eight goals in his last six games.

Özil has setup the most goals in Europe’s top five leagues – England, Spain, Italy, Germany, France.

The draw kept Arsenal on equal points with joint Premier League leaders Manchester City.
