Arsene Wenger has stated that Mesut Ozil is a key member of the Gunners squad.
The experienced manager stated that the Germany international is often the player who makes the difference for Arsenal.
“In football you need one guy who gives the ball to the one who scores the goal,” Wenger was quoted as saying by Eurosport.
“In our team, most of the time, Ozil is this player. The guys who sees makes you win, and he is that.”
Ozil played a staring role in Arsenal’s win over Manchester City. The former Real Madrid man received a a rating of 8.1 from Whoscored for his performance on the night.
OzilThe World Cup winner took 59 touches on the ball, made two key passes and maintained a passing accuracy of 89%.
Ozil has been in sensational form this season and has won back-to-back Vitality Arsenal Play of the Month awards over the last two months.
