Mesut Ozil news: Arsenal v Chelsea match preview

Arsene Wenger

Arsene Wenger marks 20 years of managing Arsenal today when the Gunners take on Chelsea in the Premier League.

The north London based side host Chelsea at the Emirates Stadium today as they look to record their first Premier League win over the Blues in five years. Arsenal have also failed to find the back of the net against Chelsea in their last six league encounters.

The Gunners come into this weekend’s clash in high spirits following back-to-back wins over Southampton and Hull City in the league, a hard earned draw away to PSG and a comfortable 4-0 win in the league cup over Nottingham Forrest.

Meanwhile Antonio Conte’s side have suffered a 2-1 home defeat at the hands of Liverpool last week.

Mesut Ozil will be hoping to record his first assist of the season but will be closely watched by Chelsea’s summer signing N’golo Kante.

There will be added pressure on the two sides if Man City record a win over Swansea City in the 3pm fixture.

Prediction:

Both sides will be keen to avoid defeat and a 1-1 draw could be on the cards:
