Mesut Ozil has taken to social media to heap praise on Arsenal following their win over West Brom.
The 27-year-old uploaded a picture of himself along with the caption, “We’re back to 3rd!! An incredibly important and well-deserved win against West Brom!”
Ozil played a staring role in the game which ended 2-0. However, it was Ozil’s teammate Alexis Sanchez who stole the limelight on the night. The Chile international found the back of the net twice to ear the Gunners all three points.
Arsenal take on relegation battlers Sunderland in the Premier League on Sunday. The north London based side moved back into third place after the win over West Brom.
Ozil is expected to keep his place in the starting line-up on Sunday.
The Germany international has been in exceptional for this season and has provided the highest number of assists in the league this season (18).
