Arsenal star Mesut Özil has been in sensational form recently and it seems he has had a bit of luck off the field as well if reports from Turkey are to be believed.
CNN Turk have reported that Özil has become engaged to Miss Turkey 2014 Amine Gülşe.
The article claims that the model confirmed the news despite not wearing a ring which she apparently left at home. Gülşe also underlined that they will be keeping their relationship private.
Özil and Gülşe are rumoured to have been seeing each other for over a year. If the rumours are true the World Cup winner will have plenty of free time over the next fortnight as he was not called up to the Germany national team for the international friendlies set to be played next week.
Gülşe was born in Sweden but is an ethnic Turk of Turkish and Iraqi Turkmen descent. Özil is also an ethnic Turk born but was born in Germany and represents the Die Mannschaft.
