Mesut Özil has had a busy week, starring in Germany’s 2-0 away win over Georgia in an Euro 2016 qualifier and promoting a left-footed football.
The Arsenal star Özil starred in the Gunners April Fool’s which centred around on a left-footed ball.
Arsenal FC tweeted an image of Özil alongside teammates including Santi Cazorla reported to be taken from the filming of the left-footed ball advert.
Özil has been found to be the second best performing attacking midfielder in Europe since the turn of the year.
The 26-year-old scored 100 in the CIES Football Observatory’s latest performance rankings.
The Football Observatory is a research group within the International Centre for Sports Studies (CIES), a private foundation affiliated to the University of Neuchâtel, in Switzerland.
The Gunners are currently in third place in the league, just one point behind second place Manchester City.
