The 27-year-old said that if Arsenal win all of their games they do have a chance of coming out on top.
“Even though a lot of people say it isn’t possible, I think and I have always thought that anything is possible in football and if we win all our games then I am convinced that we will be right at the top come the end of the season,” Ozil told BT Sport’s Raphael Honigstein.
The Gunners dropped a further two points last weekend when they gave up a 2-0 lead to draw with West Ham United.
Arsenal are 12 points behind leaders Leicester City and six points behind their bitter rivals Tottenham. The north London based side do however have a game in hand.
Arsene Wenger’s side host Crystal Palace at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday, kick-off is at 16:00 (GMT).
Ozil has been in impressive form this season having provided the highest number of assists in the league this season (19).
