Mesut Ozil warns Arsenal about Barcelona fans

Arsenal take on Barcelona in the Champions League Last 16 second-leg clash at the Camp Nou tonight needing to overturn a 2-0 defeat at the Emirates if they are to progress to the next round.

One player who knows all about what it is like playing against Barcelona at the Camp Nou is Mesut Ozil.

The Germany international of Turkish origin played for Real Madrid before joining Arsenal on a record £42.5 million transfer in 2013.

Ozil warned his teammates of what to expect and underlined that they can expect a raucous atmosphere.

“I’ve played there before. It will be very loud, the fans will support the team,” Ozil told the Arsenal Player.

Ozil won the La Liga and Copa del Rey during his time at the Spanish giants but failed to lift the Champions League.

The Arsenal star stated that his side have to believe in themselves if they are to pull off a surprise against Barca and end their 37 match unbeaten run.

“Our goal has to be to make our game. The most important thing for us is to believe in ourselves,” he added.

Ozil has seven goals and 19 assists in all competitions this season and is almost certain to start against Barca tonight
