Mourinho held meeting with Portuguese star after Man Utd game

Man United target Bruma

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho held a meeting with Galatasaray winger Bruma after the friendly game on Saturday in Sweden.

United ended up winning the game 5-2 but Bruma put on an impressive display scoring his sixth goals in his last five games.

Bruma told reporters in the mixed zone after the game that Mourinho asked to speak to him.

“Mourinho told me he was impressed with my performance and that if I continue I will get back into the Portugal national team,” Bruma said.

“Of course it was amazing to hear this from Mourinho and he said he will keep an eye on how I do this season.”

Bruma has been linked with a move to PSV over the summer and the latest reports from Turkey suggest Man Utd will be keeping close tabs on him over the next season.

The 21-year-old was tipped as being an understudy to Cristiano Ronaldo when he first started making a name for himself as a wonder-kid at Sporting Lisbon.

Bruma struggled to settle in at Galatasaray when he joined in 2014 and was loaned out to Real Sociedad last season.

The Portuguese international is now back at Galatasaray and has been showing the kind of form over the pre-season that first earned him a high profile move to the Turkish giants.
